Fresh strawberries for freshly baked muffin..

These strawberry muffins are easy to make and will make any morning a good morning. Make these muffins with fresh or frozen sliced strawberries. I prefered the fresh one!!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon finely grated lemon peel
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, sliced
  • granulated sugar for topping

Preparation:

Grease 12 muffin cups or line with paper muffin liners. In a large mixing bowl with an electric hand-held mixer on high setting, cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
Blend in vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
With a wooden spoon, stir flour mixture into creamed mixture.
Gradually stir in lemon peel and buttermilk until dry ingredients are just moistened; do not over-mix. Spoon batter into prepared muffin pan, filling each muffin cup about 2/3 full.
Evenly spoon sliced strawberries onto the center of each muffin and sprinkle each with a little granulated sugar.
Bake strawberry muffins at 350° for 18 to 20 minutes. Cool in pan on rack for 5 minutes. Gently turn strawberry muffins onto the rack. Serve strawberry muffins warm.

OR. When the muffins are cold, spread the cream on top of each then top with a strawberry.

Multi Vitamins and Minerals

Blackmores Multi Vitamins + Minerals assists in the maintenance and improvement of general wellbeing. Formulated to address vitamin and mineral deficiencies, it can provide “nutritional insurance” when diets are inadequate.

Features and benefits

  • Convenient one a day dosage

How it works

Daily supplementation with a broad range of vitamins and minerals can provide “nutritional insurance” by helping to provide an optimum intake for the maintenance of good health. A Harvard review published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in 2002 recommended that all adults should take a multivitamin daily. Statistics suggest that many people are not consuming optimal amounts of vitamins in their diets. Low levels of vitamins can contribute to the development of a range of conditions.

In addition recent studies have shown that the nutrient levels in fruits, vegetables and some food crops have declined in the past 50 years. This may be primarily due to the way food is grown, processed and prepared.

Dosage

Adults - Take 1 tablet daily with food.

But still… I love food sooooooo much..  and that’s why we have to choose the best and nutritious food for us..

As an introduction, I would like to share something which can benefit all of us.. before this we called it as food pyramid but now we change it to healthy eating plate.. Plate sounds more closer to food rather than pyramid.. lol...Cekidout!!!
